Citizens For Jim Ellis Chickahominy Supervisor

Televise or webcast meetings of the Board of Supervisors and Planning Commission

Hanover County is the most populous locality in Virginia that does not televise or webcast its Board of Supervisors meetings. Even James City County televises its Board meetings, and Goochland County allows people to download an audio recording of Board meetings. But in Hanover County, interested citizens must either attend the meetings in person or physically go to the courthouse complex and listen to an electronic audio file on one dedicated computer in the administration building. Not televising or webcasting the meetings gives the appearance that our county government wants to operate under the radar. The 21st century is 10% done already. It’s time we joined it in Hanover County.
